People of all ages can take part in Sleep Out.

The money you raise will help support young homeless people into safe homes of their own this Christmas. Below are just a few examples of what your support could mean;

-          £20 could provide an hour of support with a resettlement worker to help a young person move into their new home

-          £50 could provide an emergency personal care kit, including clothes, shampoo, a toothbrush and clean towel

-          £200 could help a young person to fund ‘homely touches’ for their new property to make it feel like home

-          £400 could help with a range of household appliances that will enable a young person to become independent

-          £1,800 could place one young person into a   safe home of their own

Whilst we would love everyone to raise at least £100 we know some people may struggle. If you are a little short of target please don’t worry. However, we do have lots of tips and tricks to help you reach your total (maybe even surpass it!) so make sure you reach out if you are worried about fundraising.

Yes you can. Your team target should be £100 x number of teammates.

Please ask for this to be made payable to you, then deposit it into your own account and make a donation in that amount to your JustGiving page.

As long as you follow government guidelines, you can take on a challenge as a team in person. But if being together as a team isn’t possible, you can still take part together and stay connected on the night. Why not set up a zoom chat and keep each other motivated throughout the night.

The branded Sleep Out sleeping bags aren’t for sale, but we have a number that we will be giving away for free through our social media channels and through The Body Shop Love Your Body Card loyalty membership in the lead up to 13th November. Don’t worry if you are unable to get one, dust off a sleeping bag or grab a few warm blankets or your duvet.

If you don’t have access to a garden or outdoor space don’t worry! The challenge is to simply lay your head anywhere but your bed. Why not make a den in the living room or pop your sleeping bag in the bath? Whether outside or in, you are still taking on a fantastic challenge and we can’t wait to see where you all choose to sleep.

We would advise against this as it could be potentially dangerous.

This Christmas The Body Shop will be making a donation to End Youth Homeless to ensure the most vulnerable across the UK & Ireland get the help they desperately need to secure a home of their own.

With customers’ support The Body Shop will fund a dedicated housing team that will help young women and mothers between the ages of 16 to 25 years move into their own homes, as well as provide bursary and bond schemes to overcome prohibitive costs to securing a tenancy.

End Youth Homelessness is administered by Centrepoint. It was set-up seven years ago from a challenge the Duke of Cambridge, who is the Patron of Centrepoint, gave them to end youth homelessness.

It is a UK-wide national movement of local charities working with over 30,000 young people. End Youth Homelessness helps its Member Charities collaborate to increase awareness, share experience and generate voluntary income to deliver services that transform the lives of homeless young people.

Here’s how we help;

•        A home: End Youth Homelessness charities start by putting a safe, warm and stable roof over young people’s heads through their supported accommodation

•       Getting and staying healthy: we help young people overcome their traumatic pasts with specialist mental and physical health support

•       Opportunities: provide young people with 1:1 care to help them build their confidence and skills to get an education and a job

•        Independence: we ensure that young people move into their own homes and don’t become homeless again
